Turn your favorite colors into fabric-friendly creativity.

Expand the possibilities of your Paint Couture paints with Paint Couture Fabric Medium, a specialty medium designed for decorative painting and artistic effects on fabric and textiles.

Blend Fabric Medium with compatible Paint Couture paint to create a more fabric-friendly mixture for adding color, patterns, stenciled designs, hand-painted details, and artistic effects to pillows, fabric décor, canvas, upholstery accents, tote bags, and other textile projects.

Whether you're refreshing fabric decor or creating something completely original, Fabric Medium gives you another way to bring your favorite Paint Couture colors into your creative projects.

Available in 1 oz, 2 oz, 4 oz, and 8 oz sizes.

How to Use

For best results, begin with clean, dry fabric that is free from dirt, oils, fabric softeners, and other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion.

1. TEST FIRST

Fabric types and finishes vary considerably. Always test Fabric Medium, your selected paint, and your complete application technique on a small inconspicuous area or fabric sample before beginning the full project.

2. MIX

Combine Paint Couture Fabric Medium with a compatible Paint Couture paint according to the recommended ratio for the product.

Mix thoroughly until the paint and medium are evenly incorporated.

3. APPLY

Apply the mixture using the technique appropriate for your project.

Depending on the desired effect, experiment with:

Brushes • Stencil Brushes • Sponges • Decorative Painting Tools

Avoid unnecessarily heavy applications. Multiple lighter applications may provide greater control than one very heavy coat.

4. ALLOW TO DRY

Allow the painted textile to dry thoroughly before additional coats, handling, or further finishing.

Drying time can vary based on fabric type, application thickness, temperature, and humidity.

5. FINISH AS DIRECTED

Follow the directions for curing and any required setting procedure before putting the finished textile into service.

A Note About Fabric

Not all fabrics behave the same way.

Natural and synthetic fibers can absorb coatings differently, and existing fabric treatments may affect application and adhesion.

Results can vary depending on:

Fiber Content • Fabric Weave • Surface Texture • Absorbency • Existing Treatments • Paint Color • Application Thickness

For that reason, Paint Couture recommends testing your complete system before beginning a large or important project.

Paint It. Stencil It. Make It Yours.

Your favorite Paint Couture colors aren't just for furniture anymore.

Paint Couture Fabric Medium opens the door to a whole new world of textile creativity by allowing artists and makers to incorporate compatible Paint Couture paints into decorative fabric projects.

When combined with paint, Fabric Medium helps modify the paint for application to suitable textile surfaces, making it ideal for everything from detailed stencil work to hand-painted designs and creative fabric transformations.

Use it to coordinate a textile project with a painted piece of furniture, create one-of-a-kind home décor, or simply experiment with color on a completely different surface.

Your color. Your fabric. Your creativity.

Bring Paint Couture Color to Fabric

One of the most exciting things about Fabric Medium is the ability to create textile projects using colors that coordinate with your existing Paint Couture finishes.

Instead of searching for a separate fabric paint in the right color, Fabric Medium gives you the opportunity to work with compatible Paint Couture paint colors you already know and love.

Create coordinated:

• Furniture and pillows

• Chairs and decorative textiles

• Painted cabinets and fabric accents

• Seasonal décor collections

• Signs and fabric banners

• Decorative boxes with textile elements

• Mixed-media artwork

• Coordinating home accessories

This makes Fabric Medium especially useful for artists who want to carry the same color palette throughout an entire room or project.

Perfect for Stenciling on Fabric

Love stencils?

Take them beyond furniture and walls.

Fabric Medium can be combined with compatible paint to create decorative stencil designs on suitable textiles.

Use your favorite stencils to create:

Florals • Damasks • Geometrics • Borders • Lettering • Monograms • Botanical Designs • Repeating Patterns

Transform a plain textile into something completely customized.

From a small decorative detail to an all-over pattern, stenciling gives you tremendous control over the final look.

Create Custom Pillows & Home Décor

A simple pillow cover can become part of your overall design instead of an afterthought.

Use Fabric Medium with compatible Paint Couture colors to create:

Decorative Pillows • Cushion Covers • Fabric Panels • Table Runners • Banners • Wall Hangings • Canvas Décor

Coordinate a pillow with a freshly painted dresser.

Repeat a stencil from a furniture piece onto a fabric accent.

Carry a favorite Paint Couture color throughout your room.

Furniture and fabric can finally speak the same color language.

Give Fabric Furniture a Creative Touch

Fabric Medium also opens exciting possibilities for decorative furniture artists.

Use it for appropriate fabric and upholstery accent projects where you want to introduce painted details, patterns, or color.

Think:

Chair Seats • Chair Backs • Upholstery Accents • Fabric Panels • Bench Cushions • Decorative Furniture Inserts

Rather than limiting yourself to a solid-color effect, experiment with stencils, florals, borders, stripes, or hand-painted details.

Creative Tip: Fabric and upholstery materials vary significantly in fiber content, weave, absorbency, treatments, and construction. Always test your complete paint-and-medium combination on a small inconspicuous area before beginning the entire project.

Great for Mixed Media

Fabric Medium isn't only for traditional textile projects.

Mixed-media artists can use painted fabric as another element within layered artwork.

Create custom-colored fabric pieces and incorporate them alongside:

Paint • Papers • Transfers • Mouldings • Texture Pastes • Perfect Pigments • German Glass Glitter • Velvet Fibers • Metallic Finishes

Paint individual textile elements or create your own patterned fabric before incorporating it into your artwork.

The combination of fabric texture and Paint Couture color introduces another layer of visual interest to mixed-media projects.

Create One-of-a-Kind Craft Projects

Turn ordinary fabric items into something uniquely yours.

Fabric Medium can become part of projects such as:

• Tote bags

• Fabric ornaments

• Decorative banners

• Fabric signs

• Canvas projects

• Textile embellishments

• Decorative patches

• Fabric flowers

• Mixed-media projects

• Seasonal decorations

• Craft projects

• Home décor accents

Use one color or combine several to create completely custom artwork.

Perfect for Seasonal Creating

Fabric Medium gives seasonal makers another way to use their favorite Paint Couture colors.

Create custom textile décor for:

Christmas • Valentine's Day • Easter • Spring • Summer • Fall • Halloween • Thanksgiving

Stencil snowflakes onto holiday fabric.

Create hearts and florals for Valentine's Day.

Paint spring flowers on decorative pillows.

Create pumpkins and leaves for fall.

The design changes with the season—the creative possibilities don't have to.

Coordinate Your Entire Project

One of the biggest advantages of Fabric Medium is color coordination.

Imagine refinishing a dresser in Paint Couture Acrylic Mineral Paint and then using a compatible coordinating color with Fabric Medium to stencil the same color onto a decorative pillow.

Or paint a chair and repeat one of its colors on the upholstered accent.

Use the same stencil on furniture and fabric.

Coordinate mixed-media fabric embellishments with the colors used throughout your project.

Instead of trying to find a textile product that almost matches your furniture color, you can build a project around a coordinated Paint Couture palette.

Hemp Oil Paint Couture

Note: Restores and Rejuvenates.  use to restore old and dry wood, cabinetry, furniture.

Let your imagination loose and get creative by using Paint Couture Pouring Resin to create high gloss pieces of art on furniture, canvas or wood.

Our Pouring Resin is beautifully formulated to flow and level by itself and create a thick high gloss finish.  Creators can let loose their imagination and create beautiful pieces of art on wood or canvas or on furniture top surfaces.  The best part of our Pouring Resin is that it works well with all of our Paint Couture Acrylic Mineral Paints, Lux Metallics, German Glass Glitters, Perfect Pigments and Pure Concentrated Pigments.  To use or Pouring Resin with Paint Couture Paint or Lux Metallics simply add a few drops and then stir after stirring simply start pouring and let your imagination go wild.  Once done pouring tilt your surface area around or use a silicone spreading tool create a desired look.

ADDITIONAL WAYS TO USE POURING RESIN

You may use the Pouring Resin as a topcoat.  If you use as a topcoat you will get a very high gloss.  You may use as a very thick decoupage pouring medium.  If using in silicone molds you will not want to go over 1/16" in depth as shrinkage will occur and instead pour in thin layers.  When using a fondant mold our Pouring Resin will achieve great results.   You can add Paint Couture Glaze to create a toned stain look or simply add Lux Metallics to create a pearlescent look.

HOW TO USE POURING RESIN FOR PAINT POURS

Stir Pouring Resin before using.  For best results use on a flat horizontal surface as our pouring resin is self-levelling.  Use a silicone pointed spreading tool to create decorative designs and accents.  Do not use a porous material to interact with your project piece once poured such as a paint stick, paint brush as this will have an adverse effect on your paint pour project.

Add color to your Pouring Resin by using Paint Couture Perfect Pigments or Paint Couture Pure Concentrated Pigments to achieve a lustrous or vibrant looks.  Adding German Glass Glitter will add some brilliant sparkle due to the reflective natures of real glass.  You can also use any of our wonderful Paint Couture Acrylic Mineral Paint, Lux Metallics, Sheer Metallics or Heavy Metallics to create a one of a kind amazing piece.

Please note that you do not want to add more than ten percent of paint to the Pouring Resin as this will have an adverse impact on the flowing ability of the Pouring Resin.  The less paint used the better which is why we suggest Pure Concentrated Pigments or our Perfect Pigment products.

If you get bubbles tap the surface to help the bubbles settles.  You may also use cool air to help the Pouring Resin flow along with tilting surface area in different directions if possible.
