Paint Couture Extender is a water based additive formulated for interior and exterior use. Paint Couture Extender will lengthen the dry time of Paint Couture paint, glazes and topcoats. Paint Couture Extender is a great additive if you want a longer working time to include reducing brush strokes by mixing it into any of our great water based paints, glazes and topcoats. Our extender is a great product to use for hot and dry environments.

You may store and keep your mixed Paint Couture paint, glazes or topcoats once mixed with our extender. Mixing extender into any of aforementioned items will not deteriorate them. When reusing a previously mixed product be sure to thoroughly mix the product prior to using.

Recommended Mix Ratio: 5%
Maximum Mix Ratio: 15%

MIXING DIRECTIONS: Always work in a well ventilated area. Mix 5% by volume if allowed by local regulations to extend the drying time of Paint Couture water based paints, glazes and topcoat products. Stir Extender thoroughly in Paint Couture paints, glazes and topcoats. Test a small area before proceeding once thoroughly mixed.

CLEAN UP: Use Warm Soapy Water

Paint Couture Extreme Guard Satin Topcoat is water resistant with UV protection built in. Paint Couture Extreme Guard is formulated for exterior use, however it may be used indoors as well. Extreme Guard Topcoats can be used on top of Paint Couture Paints, Paint Couture Metallic Paints and Paint Couture Glaze Products. There are many other products over which Paint Couture Extreme Guard Topcoats may be used, and we strongly suggest you do a test sample prior to starting your actual work.

Instructions:
Stir thoroughly before use. It is important that you do not shake. If you accidently shake the product, let it sit for 2 hours prior to use. Be sure project items that have been painted with Paint Couture Paint have dried fully, at least four (4) hours and glazed pieces 24 hours. Apply Paint Couture Extreme Guard Topcoat with a good quality synthetic brush, a foam brush, a Lambs Wool Applicator or use a sprayer. It may be lightly sanded after 45 minutes of first coat. Allow two (2) hours to dry. If adding a second coat of Paint Couture Extreme Guard Topcoat, lightly sand with 400 grit sandpaper, wipe away any dust residue and then apply the second coat. Paint Couture Topcoat products are recommended for a more durable finish.

Paint Couture Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer is a durable water based Bonding and Blocking Primer formulated for interior and exterior use. The Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer is designed to stick to surfaces without the need to degloss or sand and also protects lighter colored paints from wood tannins and bleed through. A second coat can be applied in one (1) hour if needed. Use Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer on wood, existing painted surfaces, tile, fiberglass, PVC, glass, plastic, vinyl, concrete, masonry surfaces, galvanized metal surfaces and melamine laminates. Once dry, it creates an extremely hard film. There are many other products which may be used over Paint Couture Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer, and we recommend you do a test sample prior to starting your actual work.

Application: Stir thoroughly or may be shaken. Be sure project items have been properly cleaned and clear of grease, wax, oily substances, dust, or any other contaminants. Use of Paint Couture Fresh Start Cleaner is recommended. Prior proper preparation is the key to successful adhesion. Apply Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer with a good quality synthetic brush, foam brush, roller or use a sprayer. Allow one (1) hour to dry before painting or recoating a second coat of Premium Plus 2-in-1 Primer.

Clean up: Use warm soapy water.

Caution: Use with adequate ventilation. Do not take internally. Close container after each use. Do not paint out of this container, but instead pour off what you need. Do not freeze. Use and store between 35°-90°F. Do not use in direct sunlight.

Truffle Paint Couture Paint invigorates a brownish grey creating a mesmerizing finish to any project piece. Formulated with the color in mind of brownish forest truffles that are pricey but worth it! Use Paint Couture glaze to enhance your project for a distressed or antiqued look and don't forget about the Metallic Paints as well for added elegance. Use Paint Couture 2-in-1 Premium Plus Bonding and Blocking Primer for non-wood surfaces or for wood that may bleed through with tannins. Our Topcoats are recommended for heavy interior use or our Extreme Guard for exterior use. Our Extender can be used to increase the dry time of our paints by adding small amounts, not to exceed 15%.

Dry times are estimated based off ideal conditions (70F/21C, 70% humidity). Cool temperatures and high humidity can prolong dry time up to 8-10 hours.

Tuscan Sun Paint Couture Paint is a mustard yellow color with hues of red and orange. This warm color will surely brighten your project piece. Tuscan Sun invokes a setting of a hilly viewpoint overlooking fields of Sunflowers. Tuscan Sun is a new color released by Paint Couture in October 2022.

4oz Crackle Kit by Paint Couture

Our Couture Crackle comes in a 2-step kit. The kit includes one 4 oz. container of Size (Step 1) and one 4 oz. container of Crackle (Step 2). Apply Size before Crackle to increase the size of the cracks you get. Size needs to set up first and get tacky before applying Crackle (about 30 minutes). After Crackle is applied, it is best to let it dry naturally to get the crackled effect. This can take up 5 hours or more depending on humidity. These products are self-cracking and will not crack the paint applied beneath it. The finish is clear and durable. Glaze Couture can be applied after the Crackle dries.
