Tuscan Sun Paint Couture Acrylic Mineral Paint is an acrylic water based mineral paint. Paint Couture acrylic mineral paint is self-leveling and is an all in one paint with a built in primer and topcoat. Paint Couture paint is proudly made with renewable resources making it environmentally friendly and safe with Zero VOC* (VOC <5 g/l). It is made without any of the highly carcinogenic PVA (polyvinyl alcohol). It has exceptional durability and amazing coverage while providing a silky smooth, matte finish.

Tuscan Sun Paint Couture Paint is a mustard yellow color with hues of red and orange. This warm color will surely brighten your project piece. Tuscan Sun invokes a setting of a hilly viewpoint overlooking fields of Sunflowers. Tuscan Sun is a new color released by Paint Couture in October 2022.

Use Paint Couture glaze to enhance your project for a distressed or antiqued look and don't forget about the Metallic Paints as well for added elegance. Use Paint Couture 2-in-1 Premium Plus Bonding and Blocking Primer for non-wood surfaces or for wood that may bleed through with tannins. Our Topcoats are recommended for heavy interior use or our Extreme Guard for exterior use. Our Extender can be used to increase the dry time of our paints by adding small amounts, not to exceed 15%.

Dry times are estimated based off ideal conditions (70F/21C, 70% humidity). Cool temperatures and high humidity can prolong dry time up to 8-10 hours.

Our Couture Crackle comes in a 2-step kit. The kit includes one 4 oz. container of Size (Step 1) and one 4 oz. container of Crackle (Step 2). Apply Size before Crackle to increase the size of the cracks you get. Size needs to set up first and get tacky before applying Crackle (about 30 minutes). After Crackle is applied, it is best to let it dry naturally to get the crackled effect. This can take up 5 hours or more depending on humidity. These products are self-cracking and will not crack the paint applied beneath it. The finish is clear and durable. Glaze Couture can be applied after the Crackle dries.

Paint Couture Glaze Couture is a very easy to use product; brush it on and wipe off. A water-based glaze. For use over all Paint Couture as well as other chalk or milk paints. It provides an antique or metallic look very popular for cabinets and furniture. The finish derived from a coat of Glaze Couture enhances your work and there is so little work to apply Glaze Couture compared to adding a coat of wax. Clean up is easy with just soap and water.

Before applying Glaze Couture make sure your Paint Couture painted project has dried at least 4 hours. If using chalk type paints wait at least 2 hours before applying Glaze Couture. If your project shows brush marks, sand lightly with 400 grit sandpaper to remove them. Wipe off any sandpaper dust with a damp cloth and let dry. Apply the glaze with a brush or 1/2″ nap roller. Liberally apply the glaze. Be sure your tools are dry when applying the glaze. Wait a few minutes and gently wipe off excess glaze using a staining pad, foam brush, cheesecloth or lint free cotton rag. For more working time dampen the cheesecloth or staining pad and wring it out well, then remove the glaze.

To use it as a stain: Apply the glaze evenly with a foam brush and do not remove. It can also be applied with a good quality brush and do not remove the glaze. A second coat may be applied to deepen the glaze color after the first coat has thoroughly dried.

If you have to glaze a large area and need more working time: Paint a coat of Flat or Satin Couture Topcoat to act as a barrier coat. Let this coat of topcoat dry 4 hours before applying the glaze.

Clear Glazing Medium can be added to Glaze Couture to extend your working time.

Allow the glaze to dry 24 hours before applying Paint Couture Topcoat. This will provide the best durability.

Clean up is with warm soapy water.

After a minimum of 24 hours you may apply Couture Topcoat as desired for best durability. Follow instructions for the product chosen.

Our glaze dries with to a satin sheen, and does offer protection for your piece so using a topcoat is not needed in most cases. We always recommend a topcoat on cabinetry and table tops.

Our Couture Crackle comes in a 2-step kit. The kit includes one 2 oz. container of Size (Step 1) and one 2 oz. container of Crackle (Step 2). Apply Size before Crackle to increase the size of the cracks you get. Size needs to set up first and get tacky before applying Crackle (about 30 minutes). After Crackle is applied, it is best to let it dry naturally to get the crackled effect. This can take up 5 hours or more depending on humidity. These products are self-cracking and will not crack the paint applied beneath it. The finish is clear and durable. Glaze Couture can be applied after the Crackle dries.
